I am from a South Asian Culture. And when I read posts from moms of other cultures (white ones 😅) like no co sleeping, no family in hospital, it always reads weird to me. Because I have never experienced it.

Co sleeping, breastfeeding for two years, family's hustle and bustle to help the mom... these all are the norm here.

Even when reading your post, it was hard to understand your position, which is the same case for you when you looked at your husband's perspective.

It is fascinating how growing up in different cultures shape our expectations and definitions of 'safe' and 'normal'.
